I think we can all agree that judges should know the Constitution.
Since it is the basis of every law in this country, not knowing it could be a problem.
Yet, here was a Biden judiciary nominee who got stumped on two key articles.
I Don’t Know
If Judge Charnelle Bjelkengren is confirmed for U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, shame on Congress.
When Senator Kennedy (R-LA) asked her if she knew was Article V was, she had no idea.
Nor could she answer a question about Article II.
It was even more shocking that she did not know what “purposivism” meant.
When asked, she stated, “In my 12 years as an assistant attorney general, in my nine years as a judge, I was not faced with that precise question.
“We are the highest trial court in Washington state, so I’m frequently faced with issues that I’m not familiar with, and I thoroughly review the law, I research, and apply the law to the facts presented to me.”
This woman has no right sitting back down on the bench.
Yet, do not be surprised at all if Democrats pass her right through.
