Riley Dowell was arrested this weekend.
Among the charges was assaulting a police officer.
Her name probably means nothing to you now, but it will in just a few moments.
Arrested and Charged
Dowell is the daughter of House Democrat Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA).
Dowell was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, destruction or injury of personal property, and damage of property by graffiti.
She was allegedly part of a group that was defacing public property with cute little sayings like “ACAB,” which stands for all cops are bastards, and “No Cop City.”
Should make a mother proud.
When police arrived on scene, the protesters started to “surround officers while screaming profanities though megaphones on the public street causing traffic to come to a standstill.”
During the mayhem, “an officer was hit in the face and could be seen bleeding from the nose and mouth.”
Now, we would fully expect Clark to support her daughter.
However, being a member of Congress, she should also be stating that while protesting is fine, defacing public property and assaulting police officers is not.
Instead, this was her response…
Last night, my daughter was arrested in Boston, Massachusetts. I love Riley, and this is a very difficult time in the cycle of joy and pain in parenting.
This will be evaluated by the legal system, and I am confident in that process.

You want to know what is wrong with this country today?
Parenting and holding children accountable for their actions.
This is what happens when you have an entire generation of adults that were raised by being put in timeout and handed a trophy for signing up.
