Six people were murdered and four more reported injured in a mass shooting at a Virginia Walmart store. This is a developing story with little confirmed information. From the rumors which are swirling, it initially appears that “team lead” Andre Bing massacred the incoming night crew while they gathered in the break room. He then died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and is listed as a seventh fatality.
Walmart massacre in Virginia
Americans were shocked to learn Wednesday morning of a Walmart shooting massacre which happened overnight. Details are sparse and still trickling in but what’s known so far is appalling. Society seems to have devolved into complete anarchy.
CNN is reporting that “police have not publicly identified the shooter” but they have sources indicating 31-year-old manager Andre Bing was the deceased assailant. Chesapeake Police Chief Mark Solesky did confirm that “the shooter was an employee of the store.”
Bing was assigned as overnight “team lead” for the Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia. According to witnesses, the shooting happened “around 10:12 p.m., less than an hour before the Walmart Supercenter was set to close.”
Chesapeake Police continue to work with the victims families before releasing their identities. They are currently investigating the employment status of the victims. There was a total of seven fatalities. (1/4)

The four injured victims “remained hospitalized Wednesday morning.” A hospital spokesperson notes “at least two were in critical condition.” Police verify “a pistol” was used in the murders.
Investigators spent most of the night searching the Walmart store for “victims or people who may have been hiding.”
Fresh information tweeted out by the city of Chesapeake relates that “Three individuals, including the shooter, were located deceased in the break room of the store. One victim was located deceased toward the front of the store. Three other victims were transported to local hospitals for further treatment, but succumbed to their injuries.”
Shooting was planned
One witness to the massacre is insisting it was “planned.” Even though the Walmart Supercenter was to be closed to the public overnight, about an hour later, it was still open to the public as night shift workers checked in.
“According to the witness, there were 14 employees in a meeting room waiting to learn their duties for the day when the shooting began.” That would suggest they were virtually captive in the break room.
She “believes the shooting was planned and targeted other managers at that specific Walmart.” The creepy part was the “laughing.”
Local outlet WAVY is reporting that their witness, who had only been on the job five days, informed them “it didn’t even look real until you could feel the gun go off. I will never go back in that store again. I cannot, I can’t even leave my front door.”
It’s believed, based on the witness reports, that the shooter “had issues” with “other managers at that Walmart which led her to believe the shooting was planned.” The investigation is expected to continue “for days.”
The corporation issued a statement advising: “We are shocked at this tragic event at our Chesapeake, Virginia store. We’re praying for those impacted, the community and our associates. We’re working closely with law enforcement, and we are focused on supporting our associates.” Stay tuned for updates.
