AOC announces she’s an idiot with this statement

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, affectionately known as AOC by her fans and generally considered an “idiot” by conservatives, just proved it with one simple statement. Robot police dogs are “racist,” she insists.

AOC thinks robots programmed for prejudice

The city of New York is testing out some high-tech equipment to assist their police force and that has sophomore Congress member AOC going bug eyed. The machines aren’t coded for prejudice on the basis of skin color but still they’re “racist.”

Her latest public relations scheme to get her name in the headlines is attacking the NYPD’s “new crime-fighting robot dog.” She wants to know why the very first ones to hit the street are being deployed for testing “in only low-income communities of color.”

Without considering that the robodogs are being tested in the high crime areas they will be deployed in, rather than the low crime suburbs or rural areas, AOC is convinced that they are terribly wrong. She nearly tapped her thumbs off to Twitter on Thursday, blasting NYPD’s “Digidog.”

She got totally cheesed off when she saw the video “two days after the cyber hound was filmed responding to a home invasion in her home borough of the Bronx.”

AOC seems to be terrified of the “robotic surveillance ground drones.” She knows she’s stuck with them so she starts out by throwing sour grapes with a “shout out to everyone who fought against community advocates who demanded these resources go to investments like school counseling instead.”

She’s convinced that counseling will prevent the need for Digidog to patrol “low-income communities of color with under-resourced schools.” They might actually find illicit drugs and stop crimes.

Under-served communities

To AOC, what little funding the police are allowed to have should not be earmarked fro “new technology like the Digidog.” Instead, she thinks that the money “would have better served the community if it had been allotted to programs for education or housing.”

She wants you to “Please ask yourself: when was the last time you saw next-generation, world class technology for education, healthcare, housing, etc consistently prioritized for under-served communities like this?” If she actually looked for some examples she might find some but she didn’t bother. It’s all rhetoric to get her name in the papers anyway. It certainly worked.

Digidog is a product of the Boston Dynamics labs and you can pick one up for a starting price of around $75,000.

He was hired full time by the NYPD last year and will never need to be fed or taken to the vet. Just plugged into the wall at the end of his shift and a quick trip for a tune up once in a while. At least nobody has to follow him around with a baggie. AOC is totally intimidated.

AOC has good reason to be scared. Digidog is well equipped with “cameras to search an area and send back real-time footage and is powered by artificial intelligence to navigate on its own.” It can “climb stairs, see in the dark, and run at about three-and-a-half miles an hour.”

The testing session that infuriated the squad member was “a home invasion and barricade situation on East 227th Street near White Plains Road in Wakefield on Tuesday.”
