In another easily predictable move, Nancy Pelosi has found a way to use President Trump testing positive for COVID as a weapon against him.
President Trump announced late Thursday evening that he and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for COVID, and would be starting the quarantine and recovery process:
“I have concerns about the test because obviously the tests that are happening at the White House are not as accurate as they should be,” the Speaker of the House said.
“That’s a discussion that we have to have especially when it has led to the exposure of the president of the United States. That should have been avoided,” Pelosi continued.
If Pelosi were being honest, she would never have said this. If there is any place in the country, or even the world, that would have the best testing methods possible, it would be the White House, where the leader of the free world lives.
So far the efforts to find out where the president contracted the virus have been unsuccessful. His long-time aide, Hope Hicks, had tested positive for the virus early Thursday morning. Due to the fact that the president and his aide tested positive within less than 24 hours of each other, it is unclear which one of them was infected first.
President Trump has come in contact with numerous people within the last few days, as he has been traveling around the country for rallies, and for the first presidential debate.
Due to this, it is impossible to trace how many people he came in contact with, and who he contracted the virus from.
Luckily, President Trump is tested daily, so his positive test was caught early in the stages of the virus. With the best doctors in the world, and perhaps the use of hydroxychloroquine, the president is expected to make a full recovery.
The last thing that the third most powerful person in the country, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, should be doing right now is casting doubt about the effectiveness of COVID testing, which could create a wave of panic across the United States.
