President Donald Trump just sent out a bombshell announcement. On Sunday morning, Trump took a stand against George Soros’ pet group, Antifa. After several local government agencies, including those in Minnesota, have stated that many of the rioters have come from other states, Trump has connected the dots and put Antifa on notice. Trump tweeted that “The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization.”

As on cue, the liberal media jumped to the defense of Antifa, the clearly anti-American, violent criminal organization. CNN, the mainstream media leftist leader, stated that it would be “unconstitutional” for Trump to label Antifa as a “terrorist group” because of their ideology. CNN also declared that Antifa is described as “a broad group of people whose political beliefs lean toward the left — often the far left — but do not conform with the Democratic Party platform.”
Conveniently, CNN states that Antifa does not “conform with the Democratic Party platform” after leftists rampaged on a looting and destruction spree for the last several days. While it is true that Trump does not have the ability to designate Antifa as a “terrorist group”, like foreign entities like Al Qaeda and ISIS, the Trump Administration is moving forward against the domestic terrorist operation.
Trump Strikes at Antifa
In 2019, a resolution, sponsored by Republican Senators Bill Cassidy and Ted Cruz, was introduced to the Senate to designate Antifa as a criminal organization. It stated that Antifa “represents opposition to the democratic ideals of peaceful assembly and free speech for all.” On Saturday, Attorney General William Barr took a subtle shot at Antifa on a speech about the George Floyd riots.
Barr stated, “In many places, it appears the violence is planned, organized, and driven by anarchistic and far left extremists, using Antifa-like tactics, many of whom travel from out of state to promote the violence.”
Although Trump has not shown strong evidence of Antifa has not directly linked this terrorist group to the riots, clues are beginning to emerge. St. Paul, Minnesota Mayor Melvin Carter stated every person arrested during the riots in his city were “from out of state.”

Over the last week, Antifa has been very visible on social media with various tweets. On Friday night, in Oregon, an Antifa pamphlet was found. The introduction states, “If you are reading this, you already know that we are a social justice movement against hatred, intolerance, and bigotry.” On Sunday, a Twitter video might show an Antifa organizer paying off African-American protesters/rioters.

Trump making Antifa a target of the United States government is long overdue. Antifa is clearly a threat to Americans and their rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Hopefully, their involvement in the Floyd riots becomes exposed and prosecuted by President Trump.
